The Sami Khedira transfer saga could
finally be about to end with reports
suggesting the Real Madrid star will sign
for Arsenal imminently.
According to the Metro , the Gunners have
agreed a fee of £19.8million and will
announce the signing on Monday.
Other sources claimed Khedira had stalled
on a move to Arsenal after they failed to
meet his wage demands and was set to
discuss a move to Chelsea with former
Real boss Jose Mourinho.
However, they are now strongly
contradicted by the latest development in
the story as the 27-year-old looks for a
new chapter in his career after four years
playing in the Spanish capital.
Khedira impressed Arsenal boss Arsene
Wenger during the World Cup as he
played a vital role in Germany’s triumph
despite missing the final 1-0 victory over
Argentina through injury.
Wenger also refused to rule out
continuing his summer business after his
side got off to a winning start in pre-
season against Boreham Wood.
The Gunners won 2-0 thanks to goals
from youngsters Kristoph Olsson and
Benik Afobe.
