Arsenal reject Liverpool’s Campbell move

Arsenal football club have blocked a transfer formality from Liverpool to lure Joel Campbell to Anfield.

The 22-year old had a scintillating
tournament for Costa Rica at the World Cup, and after spending most of his career away from his parent club Arsenal, Arsene Wenger wants to keep him at the
club, atleast until January.

After losing Luis Suarez to Barcelona, the Reds are determined to bolster their
attacking prowess and make competition for Rickie Lambert and Daniel Sturridge.

Wenger speaking to the press on Friday said:

“He has come from a non-competitive world to a world with hyper- competition,” he said.

“He has adapted slowly, but has adapted very well, he has
a very good spirit and attitude.He is a member of my squad at the moment, He had a good preparation and played well against Benfica.in training he is very focused and eager to do well. I would like to keep him.”
