Meet The 'CAT GIRL' Whose Fur-Covered Body Makes Her Look Like A Cat

Six-year-old Zhao Xinrui suffers from a heartbreaking condition that is baffling doctors in her native China.

A six-year-old girl has been dubbed "Cat Girl" after soft black hair started growing all over her body.

Zhao Xinrui's mother abandoned her when signs of the bizarre skin conditio  emerged last year and the youngster started sprouting black fur.

The condition - which has puzzled medics - began when Zhao was aged just five, with a small patch of discoloured skin on
her back.

But it has since spread to cover her entire back and buttocks and is now making its way onto her face, arms and shoulders too.

According to Zhao's family, her skin problem has caused alarm in the Chinese village of Changshan near Luzhou City in Sichuan province, where the family lives.

But teachers in the local kindergarten helped her gain acceptance from the other children by telling them it was just a mole.

Zhao now makes sure she keeps her body covered to avoid people's cruel stares.

Her grandmother Zhao Henghui said: "Doctors told us it was just a birthmark even when it started spreading but now it covers half her body."

Now, the family are appealing for help with medical treatment to control the rare condition.
