Man escapes car crash only to be run over and killed by his wife coming to help

A man was tragically run over and killed by his wife as she rushed to save him from a car crash.

The Frenchman and his daughter were driving through Carville, northern France when they hit a sharp bend in the road.

He lost control of the vehicle and it flipped and rolled and they ended up in a ditch.

French Daily Uest France reports that the man and his 16-year-old daughter were unharmed in the accident and managed to crawl free from the vehicle.

But then he called his wife and asked her to pick them up and tragedy struck.

As she approached the area, she hit the same sharp curve in the road that they did and lost control of her car but as she rolled down the ravine it crushed her husband.
The wife and daughter were taken to hospital in nearby.
